A Clear, Coordinated Process
The program can operate alongside an existing health plan, workers’ compensation process, or direct-pay arrangement. Eligibility, covered services, approvals, payment responsibility, and scheduling rules follow the employer’s agreement.
What MARS Coordinates
- Review of the imaging order and required information
- Eligibility and employer-verification steps
- Available facility options and cost guidance
- Authorization support when applicable
- Scheduling and appointment communication
- Nonclinical completion-status updates
The Employer Imaging Journey
01
Program Setup
MARS and the employer define eligibility, services, contacts, approvals, billing, and scheduling rules.
02
Imaging Request
A case is submitted with the required order and information. Employer-sponsored cases remain pending until verification by an authorized employer contact.
03
Financial Clearance
Payment or employer-specific billing requirements are completed before scheduling, according to the agreement.
04
Schedule & Complete
MARS coordinates an appropriate facility and appointment. The facility performs the examination and follows its clinical reporting process.
Roles and Responsibilities
Employer
Introduces the program, designates authorized contacts, and verifies eligibility or approvals according to the agreement.
MARS Healthcare
Coordinates administrative intake, available options, financial clearance, scheduling support, and appropriate status communication.
Imaging Facility
Performs the ordered examination, applies clinical and safety protocols, and routes the report through the approved clinical process.
Privacy and Appropriate Reporting
Employers receive only the nonclinical information permitted by the program and applicable authorization, such as verification or completion status. Medical images, diagnoses, and reports are not provided to an employer without an appropriate legal basis and patient authorization. Clinical reports are routed to the referring physician; patients may obtain reports through the applicable secure process after identity verification.
