Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about imaging requests, estimates, scheduling, preparation, and results.

Getting Started

What does MARS Healthcare do?

MARS Healthcare coordinates access to diagnostic imaging through partner facilities. We help patients understand available options, receive pricing guidance, and arrange appointments. MARS does not perform imaging examinations or provide medical advice.

Do I need an imaging order?

Many imaging services require an order from a qualified healthcare professional. Requirements vary by examination, facility, and applicable law. If you already have an order, include it with your request.

Which imaging services can you coordinate?

Available services may include MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray, mammography, DEXA bone density, PET scans, and certain cardiac diagnostic tests. Availability depends on location and partner-facility capability.

How do I begin?

Use the imaging finder or submit a request for an estimate. Our team will review the information and contact you regarding available next steps.

Estimates, Payment, and Scheduling

Is an estimate the final bill?

No. An estimate is pricing guidance based on the information available at that time. The final amount may change if the ordered examination, clinical requirements, contrast use, or other circumstances change.

How quickly will I receive a response?

We generally aim to follow up within one to two business days after receiving enough information to review the request.

When will my appointment be scheduled?

Scheduling begins after required order, authorization, and financial-clearance steps are complete. Appointment availability depends on the selected facility, examination, and location.

How do I cancel or reschedule?

Contact MARS Healthcare directly as soon as possible. Do not rely on an automated message link. Cancellation, rescheduling, and refund terms may depend on the applicable program or agreement.

Preparation, Safety, and Results

How should I prepare for my examination?

Preparation varies by examination. Follow the instructions provided by the imaging facility and your ordering clinician. Service pages provide general guidance, but facility-specific instructions take priority.

What safety information should I share?

Tell the facility about pregnancy or possible pregnancy, allergies, kidney problems, implanted devices, prior contrast reactions, and any other medical concern relevant to the examination. The facility determines the final safety screening.

Who interprets my images?

A qualified interpreting clinician associated with the imaging service reviews the examination. MARS Healthcare coordinates access and does not interpret images.

How will I receive my results?

Final reports are generally sent securely to the referring physician or ordering office. Patient access is handled through the applicable secure process and identity-verification requirements.
